About Gratitude Buddies
Gratitude Buddies is a platform where “buddies” - both lifelong and brand new companions - build a healthy habit and cultivate a supportive mindset together. It’s a space to grow together, by appreciating this one life we’ve been given, and its may different elements. It was founded by Abigail Somma in November, 2022.
Hi - I’m the founder of Gratitude Buddies, a platform I feel believe in and proud about creating. Although I started my career in international policy, I moved to wellbeing because: mental health is the greatest wealth of all. Struggling with depression and anxiety at various periods, I’ve come to realize that nothing is as important as a healthy brain and peace of mind. I meditate every day - pretty much without fail - and “practicing” gratitude is part of my daily life. In short, life is still life - it has its ups and downs - but I am a much more peaceful and grateful person than I used to be.
Since 2015, I’ve been offering trainings and workshops in meditation and gratitude. Past clients include Johns Hopkins Medical School, NYC Public Schools, the United Nations and others. Jean-Christophe Trentinella is a Gratitude Buddies facilitator. He is a Speaker, Consultant and certified to teach Search Inside Yourself – the groundbreaking mindful leadership programme born at Google. Jean-Christophe has worked for more than 23 years in education, higher education and culture, and managed multi-cultural teams worldwide. He has been practising mindfulness practice for over three decades.
Yara Bou-Antoun is the Creative Advisor to Gratitude Buddies. She is a London-based creative expert, illustrator, designer and art director. With over 15 years of experience, Yara has delivered global marketing campaigns, re-designed digital journeys, and created distinctive design executions for fashion & eCommerce brands.. .
